Bill Ratliff of the Hoover Institution writes: I have no final word on Iris Chang's death beyond the news around here, which is that she committed suicide following a long period of depression. Many of her papers, I think now all of them, are in the Hoover Archives.

Plan to attend the WAIS conference on "Critical World Issues " at Stanford July 31-August 1, 2006. It will be a rare opportunity to meet other WAISers. Tell interested friends.
