Western Media is Heavily Manipulated (Tor Guimaraes, USA, 04/11/22 11:02 am)I suppose I have never stated this very clearly explicitly, so I should choke on my own frustration. But for God's sake I have said it a million times implicitly...
Explicitly I state now that the so-called "free media" in the Western nations, principally the US media, is heavily manipulated in terms of what they decide to talk about by their owners. Very few companies own the "information systems" broadcasting manipulative themes to the masses. Even within the media we have two teams representing the Trump Party, the Republican Party, and the Democratic Party. I don't need to tell anyone which TV stations or newspapers belong to whom.
John Eipper responded to my concerns about a great partnership between Putin and Xi who have decided the US is like a rotten apple almost ready to fall off the tree. They are smart enough to know that the rotten apple is still capable of destroying the world, including China and Russia unless "managed" properly. Thus following what one should expect from the media most Americans can see, John stated: "The Xi-Putin partnership is not all roses. Reuters reports that China is not buying the heavily discounted Russian oil beyond its existing contracts, fearing the backlash from Western markets. What does this really mean? It seems to me that China could easily take advantage of the cheap Russian supply while denying they are doing so. And the West in turn would probably look the other way, not wanting to alienate another superpower."
What are most Americans not grasping?
The best way to see it is that the US government for decades has been spoiled by the dollar as a reserve currency. Imagine, you can print green pieces of paper saying what they are worth in a pretend world. Until now the world has been forced to accept the pretend situation, powerless to say no because everyone else said OK. After the USSR collapse, the US government moved one step closer to God Almighty in terms of power, not truthfulness. They squandered the opportunity to build a better world for mankind. Instead for the benefit of special interests they started to rip off everyone, including the American people for money and power. More and more independent minds have been able to see the massive fraud, the hypocrisy and the excesses. Now Xi and Putin have finally been pushed far enough to say no more in deeds, not talk. They are too smart for just talk; they connive, they plan, they prepare, they do it. Our government is still blinded by its present power and wealth, but unfortunately for us and the whole world, the reckoning day is coming. You will soon see in two or three years, if we don't have WWIII sooner.
How can regular folks see what is going on? Step 1: Dislodge your head from the regular TV news. It is not information, mostly distractions and manipulation. Step 2: Listen to knowledgeable people who historically have shown they are intellectually honest and know what is going on. Step 3: Look for a variety of information sources, opposing views. It does not take much time and thinking for you to see who is jiving whom.
JE comments: Three raspberries from Tor Guimaraes for the mainstream media. Tor, are you suggesting that Xi's reluctance to buy discounted Russian oil is a fabrication? Reuters is not a US news service; it is London-based and was founded by a German (Paul Reuter). An interesting tidbit: Reuter's first news transmissions were via homing pigeon (a precursor to WAIS P-mail; see one of my favorite April Fools' WAIS posts, from a happier time, 2015: http://waisworld.org/go.jsp?id=02a&objectType=post&o=92651&objectTypeId=77544&topicId=8940 ).
Tor, I respect your outspokenness, but why do you seem to be rooting for the other team? At least since February 24th, Putin has a monopoly on the world's pushing.
