Post"Who Owns South Africa?" Ariel Levy in "The New Yorker" (Edward Jajko, USA, 05/19/19 1:31 pm)
Timothy Ashby may wish to comment on this recent New Yorker article on South Africa:
Who Owns South Africa?
JE comments: The "ownership" in Levy's article is to be taken literally. What is the morality and status of "expropriation without compensation," a proposal by which white-owned lands are to be redistributed to the black and colored majority? Is this outright theft or retribution? And what is the status of this controversial act, given the ANC's modest victory in the elections of May 8th?
